The Truth About Landgate

Subpar Trim Work: A Flawed Finish

The trim work completed by Landgate was far from the high-quality craftsmanship we were promised. Instead of the clean, precise cuts and seamless edges we expected, the trim throughout our home is poorly fitted, with visible gaps and uneven lines. In some areas, it looks as if the trim was hastily patched together, leaving an unfinished and unprofessional look.

For a project of this scale and budget, it’s shocking to see such a lack of attention to detail. The trim, which should have added elegance and refinement to our space, has instead become another glaring example of Landgate’s subpar work.

Landgate’s Quick Fixes Left Us with More Problems

When we raised concerns about the poorly installed doors, Landgate’s solution was to “fix” the problem by cutting down and patching the trim. Given the state of the trim work they had already done, we declined this offer. Their quick fixes never addressed the underlying issues, and we were unwilling to let them further damage our home with more rushed, careless work.

The trim throughout the house stands as a reminder of how Landgate prioritized speed over quality, leaving us with unsightly finishes that don’t match the craftsmanship expected from a major renovation project.

A Year Later: Landgate’s Unfinished Work

1. The floors are warped throughout because they were installed 6 weeks before HVAC.

2. There is a gap almost 2x code between the door and floor and there is an unpainted center striping (that had to be installed because there was a .75” gap between the doors….).

3. All still unresolved over a year after move in. This is one doorway – the entire house is filled with these shortcomings.

Our requests for resolution are ignored
